Responsibilities of a Citizen in Keeping India a Republic Country by J Aaryan

The responsibilities of a citizen in keeping India a Republic country are:

India became Republic on 26th. January 1950. It is the day when the constitution of India came into effect. The constitution is the book of rules and regulations to be followed by the citizens of the country. It also includes the rights and duties of the citizens. So, here I was a citizen would like to mention a few points to make our country Republic in the true sense.

Protection of Environment:

We must keep the environment clean and tidy by keeping it free from plastic.

We must plant trees.

We can free the environment from air pollution by using public transport.

We can prevent water pollution by not throwing the factory waste in the lakes and rivers.

We must not litter anywhere.

We must use only public toilets.

Obedience:

We must obey the rules and regulations of the government.

By not jumping the traffic signal.

By not parking the vehicles in the no parking zone.

By not drinking and driving.

We must stop before the white line on the signal.

Fundamental duties

We must respect our national flag and the National anthem.

We must respect and obey the decisions made by the government because the rules and the laws are for our safety and the betterment of our country.

As a citizen of our country, we need to perform some duties individually like bringing awareness among the people about the pandemic like wearing the mask, telling them to sanitize their hands and many more.

A person’s duty towards the country is very important for maintaining its dignity, bright future and taking it towards the betterment of our own country.

The first thing we must remember as a good citizen is, we must be aware of the fundamental duties.

We must respect our parents, teachers, and elders.

Fundamental Rights

Right to education is a fundamental right given to all irrespective of gender, caste, religion, but the sad thing is till the date we find certain restrictions on the girls’ education so as an individual I would like to bring awareness regarding it.

When talking about equality, we find men are given more freedom than women.

Conclusion

I think if the above-said points are followed by Indians then our country can become a republic in the real sense.
